Introducing Macros - Copy&Paste

I find it inconvenient to go ahead and copy the Marcos folder.
Is there are reason for that instead of directly providing the content?

it is a lot of files. can you suggest how you would prefer a reader to get the content?

My thinking was: if the goal is for the reader to use the macros rather than understand their internals, it might be smoother to just include the macros/ folder directly in the repo at that point in the tutorial. That way, they can keep going without switching contexts or manually copying files.

I need you to be more explicit what exactly the steps of a user would be.

You might also be assuming something specific about your VS code plugin, which does not work in a normal tutorial that you read from a webpage.

Maybe the solution then is some kind of "skip step" or something for the vscode plugin

This step has two task:

1. download the macros folder + copy&paste the content into the macros folder
2. import macros into the main project

I would eliminate step 1 and do the import of macros as the only task.

only works if the vs code plugin brings in the files for them.

If you are reading and following from webpage, then we need somehow for them to copy the files.

Perhaps the best answer is for me to publish the macros as a crate, and then have them simply import the crate from crates.io

It would be great to have it as a crate and let the user just import it like we used to with the num crate.
But now I see your point. I Have been to immersed in the vs code plugin and forgot how this used to work before.
