interferrence with list of figures

I use the marginfix package to resolve some errors with margin elements in the Tufte book. It has the bad side effect to mess with the sequence of the figures in the figures index. When I disable the marginfix package, the list of figures is back to normal, but the marginfigures are placed in undesirable places.
