Hi @shrimqy and contributors,

I would like to suggest a new Sefirah window layout, like a simple/mini mode where the Sefirah launch window only shows the connected device info and notification feed.

The messages and apps pane is collapsed and replaced by small buttons on the top right of the window, these buttons are toggles and when clicked the window either expands to shows the extra panes or collapse to original simple main window.

This new layout could be the default main window (if good idea) or be set as default via an option setting (users can choose).

Something similar to what Samsung Flow have on their app with the buttons on the top right to access extended features.

Thank you for the suggestion—it’s a great idea! I’ve actually been thinking about a collapsed design, and your mockup is fantastic. Your version offers a clean look, very different from the current Phone link style.

I do see that Phone link's collapsed view might be easier to implement with our current layout, but your layout has a lot of appeal.
I don't know which one I like more tbh.

Great to know you have been thinking about a redesign. The phone link main window looks ok too but way too many buttons + text labels which make it look bloated. If you can copy it in a cleaner way then I don't mind the Phone Link inspired layout.

For me, the main window should show the essentials (notification feed + device information) and all other features should be accessible via toggle buttons that will show or hide their panes.

You may go either way, as long as the main window is straightforward and clean.

Yes, I share your opinion on it being a bit bloated. I think that was probably the only way they could do considering the layout they had. And I have more or less followed the same. I do like yours for how minimal it is, but I have to see how I am going to fit the navigation view into it without making it bloated. Or I would need to discard it altogether in a compact Window.

Do what would look best in your eyes for Sefirah, there is only KDE Connect as FOSS alternative and the look is super outdated and semi-functional on Windows. Phone Link is proprietary and Microsoft account is mandatory. Your project is much appreciated, glad I found it.
