Confirmation on localInfile Removal in MySQL2

Hi Team,

We’re migrating from the mysql Node.js library to mysql2 and noticed that the localInfile configuration is no longer available.

Our Current Setup:

In mysql, we explicitly set localInfile: false in connection config.

This means we already disabled local file loading for security.

Questions:

Since mysql2 removes localInfile entirely, does this mean:

    The functionality is completely disabled (equivalent to localInfile: false)?

    There should be no functional impact in our migration?

Are there any security or behavior differences we should be aware of?

We just want to confirm that since we weren’t using LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE anyway (due to localInfile: false), removing this config in mysql2 won’t affect our application.
