Provide the ability to show available characters left if an input field has a max length

While entering text into a input field it is usefull to directly see the available characters instead of waiting for the form validation e.g.:

@spliffone Yeah, this could be a good optional addition for cases when there is a legal or technical requirement limiting the number of characters that can be entered. We should not add it when the limit is generous relative to typical input, since it becomes unnecessary noise no one is likely to encounter.

But that placement can conflict with the helper text. Let me figure out a bit how we can do it :)

As discussed internally, we don't need to support this pattern now. Is a nice-to-have for the use cases described in my comment above. The use case where it was conflicting can be solved with our standard way of handling max characters:
