  • Revise draft based on Veronikas feedback

Where do you need help from Veronika?

  • Should I write your name on the paper?
  • Tank et al. has very high DICE scores compared to all other papers in the review. I suspect is because they do not do a proper split between training and test patients. Is this ok to question in my paper?
  • Added another table with variability and data availability. Is it fine to do this as another table? Or is it better to do the vertical table that you mentioned last meeting?
  • Does the PRISMA flow chart look ok?
  • Conclusion at the end of the paper?

Where do you need help from Veronika?

  • Are the chosen topics in each section ok? (Models used, performance metrics, what is segmented, types of classification in papers, comparison to COPL, comparing the 2 adenomyosis classification papers)
  • Should I include the visualization I made? And should I make others? (you can find them in the visualizations notebook file)
  • Questions in overleaf notes Segmentation section
  • How to wrap up a section. Should I make some sort of short conclusion at the end of a section? And at the end of the paper

What did you achieve?

  • Read and took notes to 2 more articles
    • Now I'm done with the articles related to ML/DL in diagnosing adenomyosis

What did you struggle with?

  • The search (uterus OR uterine) AND ("machine learning" OR "deep learning" OR "artificial intelligence" OR "neural network*") AND ultrasound AND transvaginal yielded 890 results
    • 44 left after removing duplicates and filtering for ML/DL/NN and transvaginal ultrasound
      • This is what I did in the beginning where I found 11 interesting articles
    • 119 left after removing duplicates and filtering for ML/DL/NN and ultrasound
      • I realized that "transvaginal ultrasound" might have been a bit too narrow, so I filtered for ultrasound instead
      • When I try to manually filter these I get a little overwhelmed and confused about I should actually include
        • Should I include articles that are using 2D ultrasound as input or only 3D?
        • Should I include articles that related to cancer in the uterus?
        • Should I include literature other reviews?

What would you like to work on next week?

  • Find the relevant uterus articles and start reading them

Where do you need help from Veronika?

  • What I should filter based on, as described above
  • When should I begin writing my overleaf notes into actual text I can use in the paper?
