Upload: File alternative that asks lesser questions #1070

I have tried to use SB to take notes whenever I'm attending some kind of talk/lesson for some time now, during such occasions, I want to minimize looking at my phone for many reasons, e.g. respect for speaker, pay more attention etc.

Problem: On Android, the Upload: File asks too many questions

When I say too many questions, here is what happens:

  1. After triggering Upload: File, Choose an action pops up, I have to read and choose Camera correctly otherwise more than 2 clicks will be incurred (Total clicks: 2)
  2. My phone camera requires 2 clicks, 1st to take a pic, 2nd to OK/reject it (Total clicks: 4)
  3. After taking a picture, SB asks for a filename for pasted attachment, before it actually appears (Total clicks: 5)

What I think will be great, have an alternative e.g. Camera: Instant upload:

  1. After triggering Camera: Instant upload, the camera shows up, no mistakes possible (Total clicks: 1)
  2. My phone camera requires 2 clicks, 1st to take a pic, 2nd to OK/reject it (Total clicks: 3)
  3. The photo should show up in my SB without further questions

This might feel like a insignificant 2 extra clicks, but it quickly builds up if I have to take like 30-40 pictures in a short span of time. Imagine having to read and choose correctly 30-40 times while trying to focus on the speaker.

And because I do not attend talks/lessons all the time, it feels cumbersome everytime I need to use it.

As a result, I have relegated to using the phone's camera app (for speed) and then later manually piecing the notes and photos together, for the sake of being able to keep up with the speaker.

Hope the above make senses. Thank you.
