Github Markdown Supports Footnotes, Markdown Viewer Does Not Support Footnotes

According to Github, GH Markdown supports Footnotes:

Markdown Viewer Supports GH Markdown, however it does not support Footnotes.

Can you check if you have the footnote option enabled:
