[Mobile] Editor unresponsive for documents containing many newlines

On the Xiaomi Mi A2, for documents with about 1,000 newlines ('\n'), scrolling in the editor starts to lag.

For documents containing 2,000 newlines, the editor is almost unresponsive. i.e. stuttering scroll, long delays of up 3 seconds or more when typing a character/changing cursor position/selecting text, etc.

I was able to observe the issue on the basic example code as per Readme in release mode.

Here's an artificial minimal sample text content to facilitate investigation:
