width="xxx" not working anymore

I am upgrading from 2.1.3 to 3.0.0.
Before the upgrade i could deliver a static image width via the width attribute.
After the upgrade the width attribute is completely ignored and replaced with another value.

Update: It seems it was broken in 2.x too. In versions 1.x it was only possible.

I can confirm this with version 3.1.0 and TYPO3 version 13.4.17.
width and maxWidth not working correctly.

I tried it first with maxWidth as allways in older versions. And additionally with maxWidth.
In this case the image should be 992px max. But it has the same width as the original image in this case 1413px
