Start and cancel extraction.

Textbox for extraction output and errors, with placeholder logic.
Status Bar
Shows current status (Ready, Extracting, etc.).
Placeholder Logic
For all main entry fields, with focus-in/out handling.
Salt Entry/Combo Sync
Robust logic for preset/custom salt value selection and editing.

I'd be in favor of that, too.
But it should then work for all platforms, like Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
