@fkiraly
Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
because I believe that I need more guidance in certain parts of sktime. I usually try to figure things out on my own and do not ask for help unless I am really stuck, but when someone is really willing to support and mentor me, They open new perspective window
What topics are you working on?
focusing on finishing my current pull requests (#8579, #8603) and trying to get a deeper understanding of forecasting in sktime. and working now on issue #4303
What are your learning goals?
Now, want to understand how the Median Absolute Error metric works internally and how to clearly document it. Through this, I also want to get better at writing clear, complete docstrings and understanding how metrics are implemented in sktime
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
after the program ends, I want to keep contributing to sktime by staying on top of new issues and continuing to learn and improve
