Shared NavigationBar visibility

Looking for some tips on how control a shared NavigationBar visibility. My initial solution was to make a BaseScreen like so:

abstract class BaseScreen : Screen {
    open val hideBottomBar: Boolean = false
}

and have other screens extend from that. Everything works okay for static values but on some screens I need to show / hide the bottom bar based on the presenter state. My current workaround is :

val LocalAppRootState = staticCompositionLocalOf { AppRootState() }
@Composable
fun rememberAppRootState() = remember {
    AppRootState()
}
@Stable
class AppRootState {
    var showBottomBar by mutableStateOf(true)
}

Would be great to have a way to access the current presenter and move the val hideBottomBar: Boolean to them or have a way to signal events up the chain somehow.
