Version 6.3.5 Chat spins indefinitely when VSCode is reading a sshfs mount point

I have vscode connected to my endpoint and chat is working as expected. If I then use the explorer to find a snippet of code that is located on a local mount point of an sshfs mount, any chat interaction will spin until I get the error message: "Error: Failed to fetch Click to retry".
