Unbridged account still visible

Just over a month ago I unbridged my Bluesky account by unfollowing and blocking the brid.gy account on Bluesky. On Mastodon I am still seeing my bridged Bluesky account, it's not updating since I unbridged as expected but the bridged account is still there. This is the account in question @[email protected] (https://bsky.brid.gy/ap/did:plc:ulopuxehebb2lu3utgpzlfje)

I'm not sure if this is expected, if I missed a step, or something else. Ideally I would like my bridged Bluesky account to be gone.

Sadly, this is a somewhat inherent part of the fediverse itself. When you disable the bridge for your account, Bridgy Fed sends Deletes to every fediverse instance where you had a follower, but it doesn't currently know about other instances that may have loaded and cached your profile. Same with posts bridged into the fediverse that you later delete. Those cached profiles and posts will eventually disappear over time.

You can confirm that your Bluesky account is no longer visible in the fediverse to instances that hadn't already seen it - https://browser.pub/https://bsky.brid.gy/ap/did:plc:ulopuxehebb2lu3utgpzlfje , https://browser.pub/@[email protected] , and I also confirmed by searching on mastodon.social and indieweb.social. It should also have been removed from all instances where you had at least one follower.

Thanks for the reply and clarification! I am only seeing my old bridged account on my main instance where I had visited and possibly followed it at one point. I don't see the old bridged account when I use a different account on another instance. Thanks again for helping me understand the fediverse better.
