Web => AP: handle non-AP-id URLs (eg `/@user/123`) in in-reply-to, repost-of, like-of, etc

I'm trying to bridge u-in-reply-to replies from web to Mastodon posts, but for some reason these don't seem to get posted to Mastodon. Replies to Bluesky posts work correctly.

Here's one example of such:

Oof, sorry for the trouble! Looks like this is #1835, based on the last line in the log: Returning 204: https://larilohikoski.fi/replies/2025-12-15-16-37-25/ is unchanged, nothing to do. Used to be rare, but I think it's happening more now. Not sure why. I'll look.

That wasn't the problem! I just tried changing the u-in-reply-to url from https://suomi.social/@lari/115718316552520213 to https://suomi.social/users/lari/statuses/115718316552520213, and now the reply was federated.

Maybe bridgyfed should support both formats?

Hah, funny. The former URL (with @) is the end user facing one, the latter is the ActivityPub id. We've supported both for a long time, depending on the fediverse server itself, but the end user facing URL may now be triggering a duplicate fetch for some reason. Thanks for the lead!

Btw, for now you can work around this by adding force=true to your webmention POST requests, that will make Bridgy Fed always federate them.

I first tried adding force=true to the webmention containing the non-functioning format, but it didn't work even with it.

Ah, it's a POST, so it needs to be in the body, not the URL.

Ugh, I was wrong, there are some situations where we don't handle the shorter @ URL format. (The longer format is the actual AP id.) Thanks for the nudge there! I'll keep this open to track that.
