The trait names get really long and confusing, due to them being very specific. Maybe it would be good to add the synonym when downloading the data. Eg. th name could be appended by the synonym, so the user can delete the unwanted part and work solely with the synonyms.

For example, change this:
derived dry weight of root stock in kg|CO_334:0006044

into this:
eWRDW|derived dry weight of root stock in kg|CO_334:0006044
