To add to the above: It would also be useful in the case of tasks that are invoiced per-word—which is billable but not hourly. |

@mmoollllee It might. I do think per-word or per-unit might be helpful in terms of what you’re thinking. Part of the reason this came up is because a lot of my per-unit work is not on a strict hour-by-hour schedule, but adding it kind of messes up the calendar, making it a less useful barometer of my time. |

A big portion of my freelance work is based around flat-rate tasks, which I’ve traditionally tracked as taking one hour each. But it strikes me that it might be valuable to include a dedicated feature for this in Solidtime. Breaking things down in this way often leads to odd situations like the appearance that I’ve worked a 17-hour day, when I really just did 13 flat-fee tasks and four hourly things. It also causes awkward calendar overlap situations that could be easily avoided if this was measured a different way.
Beyond my use case, I could see this useful as maybe being a way to track unit sales, for example, if you’re running an e-commerce business.
