I’m exploring VRRP support in SONiC and wanted to clarify whether it’s currently supported in any SONiC community branches. I’ve been digging through the swss container and noticed that there is no vrrpsyncd daemon included, which, as far as I understand, is typically responsible for VRRP state synchronization in other platforms like FRR.
A few specific questions I have:
Are there any SONiC community branches that implement VRRP natively?
If VRRP is supported, which daemon/service handles the state sync and advertisement, given that vrrpsyncd is not present?
Are there recommended workarounds for achieving VRRP-like redundancy in SONiC today?
Any guidance, pointers to branches, or design notes would be really appreciated.

Hello everyone,

Thanks in advance!
