Source installation fails on Ubuntu 22.04 & Fedora#475

All of the source suites on Ubuntu 22.04 and Fedora fail due to GCC compilation errors. This is likely due to some issue with the newer version of GCC being more strict. Will need to look at how upstream builds these and what changes we need to do for that.
