Yeah, this is tragic news.
This is the only MacOS Finder 'like' file manager available on Windows. Using Windows without a MacOS like file manger, is painful. like HCL acid drops in the eye balls. Spacedrive is the only prospect on this POS platform.

Elon Musk, you reading, save humanity the torture of M$s Windows, bank roll this project please.
Hard enough dealing with all the shitty legacy poor performing CAD apps on this platform.

I'm so happy this project is back!! I've been looking for a self-hosted web/server-based file manager that fits my needs for a long time and have high hopes that this could be the one. Nexcloud was too clunky and unreliable. Filestash, Filebrowser, Pydio Cells, Seafile, and TagSpaces all had their shortcomings and/or were missing essential features. I settled on paying for FileRun years ago, which has the functionality I need, but is closed-source and had not seen a substantial update since about a few months after I installed it.

Spacedrive V1 was getting very close to being what I'm looking for feature-wise, plus it had a gorgeous, intuitive, modern UI and it was fast. Can't wait to see what happens with V2. I haven't even installed it yet, I was just so excited to see this project alive again I had to comment. Welcome back!

I found my way here from the spacedrive website where the roadmap and blog seem to be a clue that the project and org had been deserted, with the last blog post and roadmap update showing from early 2024.

Where is there more news or announcement or confirmation of a renewed effort?
