The migration of the snowball-detection code from opencv to scikit-image has resulted in significantly longer runtimes. In one test case, jw02123001001_05101_00001_nrs1_uncal.fits, time in the 'Flagging Snowballs' section of the code has increased from 1.5 minutes to 5.5 minutes.
We should see if there are any optimizations possible to reduce this runtime again.
