Hi, I took a look at the released binary, by doing this: This seems to indicate that it is built with the latest Xcode (26.2), and targeting deployment target 10.13 (which has been the minimum OS supported by Sparkle since Sparkle 2). However, according to the Xcode support matrix (https://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/), it states that Xcode 26 / macOS 26 SDK only supports deploying down to macOS 11:
Is this going to cause problems? I wonder if Sparkle will need to increase its min target to macOS 11 if it wants to use Xcode 26 to build. I would have imagined the build should have complained as well, as Xcode will usually let you hardcode the min target to an unsupported target but will warn that it is a bad idea. I remember having a similar discussion with you guys when the min target for Sparkle was changed from 10.9 to 10.13. |

Sparkle 2.9 includes major appcast enhancements such as ability to use markdown release notes and ability to sign/verify appcast feeds, as well as marking an update requiring arm64 and other small improvements.
