Which branch should we be using?

Hello,

Which branch should we be using for new sites? The improve-build branch or master? As there are some nice things like Solr 8 in the master branch that should fix the log4j2 vulnerability in Solr 7.

Hi @misilot,

We've advised users to utilize the deployment model and instructions for the improve-build branch. However, you're correct that there are issues stemming from outdated dependencies in that branch. I have opened a PR to address this, allowing us to confidently recommend the improve-build branch, which includes a more recent version of Solr and Python: #87
