ICS is planned by chrisUse, how to integrate into the plattform?

The idea is to integrate the transformer module into the migrate project and create the ICS files when the transformation for the time tables are running. Is it a good idea to put the files for normal downloads in a folder or is it better to generate the ICS file in live mode?
