Wish: side loading of git repositories

It would be nice to have the possibility to side load applications from Gitlab/Github/whatever e.g. in a standalone instance. The possibility to commit/push these applications after modifying them e. g. via ConfigExplorer afterwards would be a killer feature.

The work we continue to do on the App Framework uses S3 as it's generic store for App and config states. In the future, we could sync directly from Git as we've left the door open for integrations other than S3. Or, alternatively, we could explore syncing changes out of Git to the target S3 buckets. We would still need an action to "zip and sync" but that seems doable.
