This would allow people to sign in to google and youtube from the steam browser, since Google recently disabled embedded browsers.

Unfortunately Google probably does some more aggresive browser detection that does not rely solely on the advertised UA. I stumbled onto this issue myself few months ago and did exactly what you're trying now -- faking the User-Agent. However, Google still wouldn't let me sign in[1]. So unless you know exactly what else their services are checking, this feature would be useless.

But anyway, if you really need this, I could push a test branch with the patch I used to change the UA. But be aware that the code is a mess.
