Hi, I'm Etienne. I spend most of my time on two open source projects.

OpenScreen is a screen recorder and editor for making product demos. Native GPU renderer (D3D11 on Windows, Metal on macOS, Vulkan on Linux), offline captions, no watermark, no subscription, no account to create. It's the continuation of the original project, which got archived. I was the second contributor on it before that. Since I picked it up it went from 1.3k to 2.3k stars.

n8n-as-code lets you work on n8n workflows from your editor instead of the browser. 537 nodes with full schemas, 7,700+ templates, git-style sync, workflows in TypeScript. The point is to give an agent enough grounding to touch real workflows without breaking them.

Both are MIT and I'm not planning a paid tier or a "pro" version.

Where the money goes

Hardware. Most of the bugs I can't close are crashes on GPUs and drivers I don't have here. Buying the machine is usually the whole fix.

Code signing and store fees. Apple and Microsoft certificates, store registrations. Nobody gets a feature out of this, but without it you get a scary warning when you open the app.

AI subscriptions. All of it goes into these repos. A lot of the code is written with agents, and that's the main reason I can keep two projects this size running on my own.

My time. Reviewing PRs, testing release candidates before users hit the bugs, answering issues. It's the boring part and it's most of the work.

If you'd rather not pay

Star the repo, or send a bug report I can actually reproduce. And if you want to own an area (Linux packaging, the editor, the GPU pipeline), I'll hand over commit rights and a say on the roadmap. That's what I need most right now.

@EtienneLescot

Getting to 25 sponsors covers the yearly certificates and lets me buy the machines I need to reproduce the crashes I can't see from here.
