Hologram works today. This year alone brought four feature releases: most of Elixir's standard library working client-side, JavaScript interop, a full realtime layer, and a much-expanded event system. The first production applications have shipped. The project stands at 1,400+ GitHub stars, 12,000+ commits and 50+ contributors, with endorsements from José Valim and a feature on elixir-lang.org.

What comes next is bigger. Local-first: applications that are offline by default - they keep working without a connection, hold the data you choose on the client, and sync automatically when the connection returns. No full-stack framework in any language ecosystem ships this built in. Hologram is close enough to be the first.
