I'm Joe and I reside near Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

I am mainly working on:

rustls which is a TLS stack written in Rust.

This is a project I started back in 2016. rustls is depended on by almost 10,000 Rust crates and used by billions of users.

There is now an ecosystem of adjacent Rust, C and Java projects: such as an OpenSSL-compatible API, a C API and deep integration into platform-specific certificate verifiers.

Graviola which is a cryptography library written in Rust, designed to have excellent performance and be quick to build.

This is a project I started in 2024 and as such is fairly new and actively developed.

Previously I have worked at Twilio, Electric Imp, Blackberry, Good Technology, nCipher, and Thales. Currently I am writing and maintaining open source software full-time. Your contributions help me continue that 🙂
