My name is George G. Vega Yon. I am a business manager turned policymaker, turned economist, turned biostatistician. I am originally from Chile, but I've spent the last eight years working for the research industry in the US. Besides what I'm paid to work on (e.g. slurmR, fmcmc, rbootcamp), I do have several other opensource projects that I've been working on throughout the years, for example, the rgexf R package, the ergmito R package, the Stata module parallel, the netdiffuseR R package, among others.
I love building software and contributing to open-source projects. I plan to use the support to experiment with other technologies, dedicate more time to projects I haven't had the time to work on, and, of course, build more useful software and educational resources for the community.
