My open source work centers on Python: both CPython itself and tools that improve Python development. I'm a Python Steering Council member (2026 term), the release manager for Python 3.16 and 3.17, and part of the Faster CPython team working on the JIT compiler. I have also been known to help out where help is needed, like in helping maintain the argparse module.
While I'm fortunate to have some time for CPython work during my day job at FastAPI Labs, sponsorships help me dedicate additional time to the broader ecosystem, tackling issues outside my day-to-day focus, writing about CPython internals, attending conferences and core development sprints, and contributing to the community in ways that benefit all Python developers.
