Ubiquiti Community: Cloud-Native Infrastructure for UniFi
What We’re Building
The Ubiquiti Community is an open-source initiative bringing cloud-native automation to UniFi networking environments. Whether you're working in a homelab, supporting MSP clients, or managing distributed infrastructure, this project makes UniFi more manageable, repeatable, and scalable.
| Traditional Approach | With Ubiquiti Community |
|---|---|
| Manual setup | Infrastructure as Code |
| Expensive gear | Cost-efficient UniFi |
| Proprietary systems | Open integrations |
| Limited automation | GitOps + CI/CD workflows |
Terraform Support for UniFi
We maintain the most widely used Terraform provider for UniFi, enabling:
- Declarative configuration of sites, devices, VLANs, and users
- Automated provisioning via CI/CD pipelines
- Repeatable network deployments for scale
Used by thousands of teams across cloud, edge, and remote environments.
Kubernetes DNS Integration
We also maintain an External-DNS webhook provider for UniFi, enabling DNS record automation based on Kubernetes resources.

DNS Records Created Automatically
This simplifies hybrid cloud and edge deployments, enabling consistent DNS automation across environments.
Additional Integrations
| Tool | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Go SDK | Metrics, automation, monitoring |
| Python Async API | Event-driven workflows, IoT integration |
| OpenStack Driver | Neutron networking with UniFi gear |
| Metal3 Integration | Bare-metal provisioning with Kubernetes |
| UniFi-RPC | Power control via PoE switch automation |
These tools enable integration with modern infrastructure patterns—from data centers to remote edge sites.
