Hello,

First of all, thank you for your work on the Gem, its hugely appreciated.

We just received notification that PayPal is discontinuing the use of PayPal’s Mobile SDK and PayPal payments through Braintree JS SDK version 2 on or after December 7, 2020.

They are giving a number of options:

• Option 1: Integrate directly with v2/Orders API
• Option 2: Integrate with PayPal JavaScript SDK
• Option 3: Upgrade from Braintree JS SDK version 2 to JS SDK version 3 in support of PayPal payments.

Will the Gem be updating the JS SDK that it is using?

We're planning on moving to JS SDK 3 in the near future (definitely this year).

Thats great news. Could i just ask, will you be maintaining compatibility with spree 3.5.x when you add support for the new SDKs?

@prwhitehead definitely we will still be testing against Spree 3.7 and will allow installation of this gem for older 3.1+ versions as well
