Frozen on connecting to kernel

I updated Spyder to its latest version 6.12.11 (I think), and ever since it's been unable to connect to kernel. I updated spyder-kernels, pyzmq, ipykernel in Anaconda Prompt and restarted my computer and Spyder after the updating those.

probably because of user name contains space? Relevant issue

Thanks! I downgraded back to 6.1.0 and it seems fine now.
