GitHub Releases Plugin

Hi all,

Tried searching for this but I'm not 100% sure if this is available. For those of us using this library for pages surrounding an open source project, it would be really nice to be able to host a download page for the software which displays content from GitHub releases.

Does anyone know of such a plugin?

I haven't looked for a plugin, but the task seemed rather specific, and simple, so it's a great case for AI. I asked ChatGPT for a hook that would do load the releases of a repository and list them out, I also asked for caching, so it should be good to go, but apart of running it and validating that it works at face value I haven't validated the whole code, so there could be some hallucinated bugs ✌️

As a side note: This downloads the /latest release, so make sure to separate the release and docs GitHub Actions workflows, so that the new latest is always available for the docs rebuild.

The zip contains an initialized uv project, with an docs/index.md file that has releases: true enabled.
The hook.py contains the implementation glued together by GPT.
