Control xapps not working

Hi! I’m using the lastest version of srsran Proyect (open5gs and gnb), srsran 4g (for the UE) and of oran-sc-ric. When I try to run simple_rc_xapp.py or simple_ app.py the trafic between gnb and ue stop and start to be 0 bps (I see it by tapping t in the command line os both). The kpm xapps works fine. Any idea if is problemmof the last releases? Or I need to have something wrong? The kpm apps (monitoring metrics) works fine so I think it could be your release maybe:( If you are working with them, please tell me to know!

Hi, I have same problem, while KPM xApp works fine, it seems other two xApps have problem and make DL parameters including "brate", "mcs", "ok" go to zeros.

Anyone has implemented with success the RC xApps of the oran-sc-ric with the lastest version of both srsrran_proyect and oran-sc-ric? Please help us!

I ran into the similar problem with the newest version. Can someone point to which versions of srsRAN_Project, srsRAN_4G and oran-sc-ric seem to be stable for rc development?

Hi st3yk, welcome to the club. We all having problem with running xApps except the KPM mon one. Hopefully we will find the solution soon. Could you run it successfully with older version, since you said you have similar problem with newest version!

I skimmed through my notes and what I believe used to work is:

However, when I ran it today I got:

everytime I tried calling the e2sm_rc.control_slice_level_prb_quota function.

However it seems like misconfiguration, so maybe it's fixable. I'll post an update if I manage to run it.

As I supposed, I had a configuration issue - changed rmr port to 4562 by a mistake.
I can confirm that the versions I posted above work for the downlink RC control:

However, in this scenario after changing the PRBs DL Throughput does not reach the goal (all three UEs are supposed to have the same one). This may be expected as I'm not very familiar what should happen next.

Good to hear that at least one/you could run it successfully with that version, would you please share the files and config files you used. Also what command you used for this simple xApp, you may need to add the UE's number at the end of your command.

The simple xApp is based on the functions provided by the oran-sc-ric maintainers - simple_rc_xapp.py and kpm_mon_xapp.py configured to use report style 4.

Yes, your UE disconnected as ours, that is why DL dropped to zero.

Not yet, it seems that the new version of srsRAN has problem with running control xApps.
