I hope you are doing well,
the issue that we are deploying it in our k8s cluster and one of the required steps is to set
I_UNDERSTAND_IMPLICATION_OF_ES_PATCHING=yes as enviroment variable with root account which is prohibited from our security team so we need to remove this condition .

It's completely understandable that in some contexts you don't want to run the container as root. We have considered this use case, and there is an alternative method of ROR installation. We have described it in our docs: https://docs.readonlyrest.com/eck#using-docker-images-built-by-you-and-stored-in-your-registry

Please let me know if everything is clear now and if you can run ROR in your ECK environment.
