Possible to customize laravel-google-cloud-tasks-queue handler for dispatch to subpath on same domain?

I am developing a web application built with Next.js and Laravel.
Both applications are hosted on the same domain with paths separated to avoid CORS issues.

Frontend: https://example.com
Backend: https://example.com/api/*

However, laravel-google-cloud-tasks-queue restricts handler customization in its Config.
Is it possible to set the handler to https://example.com/api and dispatch to https://example.com/api/handle-task ?

I am grateful for this library.
Please let me know if you have any insights on this matter.
