Description

I tried to move HazeOver and then AutoMounter out of the visible bar to the hidden bar, and it threw an error saying that they were taking too long and I should file a bug report if it persists. I quit, HazeOver, reopened it and tried again. The error changed to just say that it couldn't do it and to file a bug report.

I took the first screenshot you saw, and now Thaw isn't functioning at all. You can see my menu bar is a hot mess, but I also have a grayed-out Thaw menu.

I am using beta 2.0.0 on a MacBook Air running Tahoe 26.5.

Steps to Reproduce

1. open thaw settings
2. try to move an item from the visible bar to the hidden bar
3. see error
4. quit Thaw
5. reopen Thaw
6. Thaw broken

i've got a similar issue here, i wasn't sure if it was just the stats app itself or thaw, looks like it could be thaw

I'm facing this issue as well, for quite a few items. Also, it seems like a lot of menubar apps I have cannot be moved out of the bar into the visible section and it's grabbing my mouse and moving to the top right, causing lots of flicker as I have hot corners to expose for top right...

It's basically unusable for me.

Has this been solved with the latest beta?
If not, and if you are in a notched display, turn on LCS sorting for notched displays in Settings -> Advanced. You can also try the following steps to see if that solves them:
