When I exit undo mode it should not return to my current position

If I want to fill in more details near something I previously tagged, I click the undo button and then click the tag that I did previously and the map zooms there, but then if I try to do something in that location, it exits undo mode and jumps back to my current location, even if I move around the map first

It seems to depend on the state of GPS icon (one in lower right corner). If it is in active "navigation" mode (i.e. orange triangle), then exiting the undo menu will return you to your current position.

But it is in "normal" mode (i.e. white or orange¹ "sniper scope" circle), then it will retain your chosen position when you exit the undo menu. (at least in SC 62.1). As will inactive navigation mode (i.e. "white triangle")

You can change your mode by clicking on that icon. ²

Although, now that I played with it a little, it does not zoom to undo at all.. There seems to be buggy code around, but I don't know how I triggered it... 🤔

Well if you click the lower right button it becomes red and locks onto your position. If you pan the map it turns white and no longer tracks your position.

Ohh... If it's white then clicking an undo on something I haven't uploaded yet does not go back to my current position which is good. Actually that doesn't happen if it's red either...

And it behaves that way if I click on something I already uploaded too. I'm confused.

Yeah it seem buggy. I'm intending to write a proper bug report (with videos) when I get a little more time, but if someone else is in the mood, please feel free to do it instead of me!

How I think it is supposed to work:

• if your triangle icon (or your sniper scope icon) is red¹, it means it is tracking your current position. In that case, when you open "Undo" menu and exit from it, it should be expected it will return the map to your current (GPS) location (as that is what you've asked it to do -- track your position!)
• if your triangle icon (or your sniper scope icon) is white (and it is white because you manually panned the window), it means is is not tracking your position, so exiting "Undo" menu should not change the map position automatically

What I also think should be happening, but (at least in some cases) seems not to be happening:

• when you open "Undo" menu and pan while it is open, it should disengage tracking too (i.e. red icon should turn white) - just like when you pan the window while not being in "Undo".
• the tracking (i.e. red/white) status should be persistent
• clicking on item to undo should always zoom to it (and I've managed to get SC to not do zoomin in some cases)
