`Waiting for activation...` forever on docker image

1. I was able to get docker image up
2. Entered my email, clicked the link and successfully completed the login
3. But the kobo downloader page still says Waiting for activation..., dev tools JSON was {"success":false}

Any idea how to debug?

1. Does the command-line version work for you?
2. If not, does https://github.com/TnS-hun/kobo-book-downloader/ (an earlier fork of the project) work for you?

Because I can't reproduce this, it will be pretty hard to diagnose without server logs. If you could provide those as well it would help a lot.

Got the same issue, server logs aren't very useful: 192.168.1.114 - - [10/Dec/2025 09:01:02] "POST /user/check-activation HTTP/1.1" 200 -

192.168.1.114 - - [10/Dec/2025 09:01:13] "POST /user/check-activation HTTP/1.1" 200 -

192.168.1.114 - - [10/Dec/2025 09:01:18] "POST /user/check-activation HTTP/1.1" 200 -

192.168.1.114 - - [10/Dec/2025 09:01:24] "POST /user/check-activation HTTP/1.1" 200 -

And it just keeps going, seems like its not recognizing when the user authenticates. https://github.com/TnS-hun/kobo-book-downloader/ Gives the same result, even on an earlier commit (6515668)
