I want to duplicate a doc that i use like a model for customer's listening (work in French public engineering agency) by using API.

I'd like to have an endpoint like new but for duplication : https://docs.numerique.gouv.fr/docs/duplicate/{_IdSourceDoc_}

Describe alternatives you've considered
Context : i use Grist, trying to help my teammate to build an easy project management and valorization system.
Actually :

1. Create a new empty doc via https://docs.numerique.gouv.fr/docs/new/?title=_myTitle_
2. Open the model and manually copy the content
3. Open the created empty doc by accessing https://docs.numerique.gouv.fr/docs/?title=_myTitle_
4. paste the content
5. use the created doc to store customer's most important points

Discovery, Documentation, Adoption, Migration Strategy
I've not do much discovery far beyond my teammates, but for most of them, using Grist to create projet is already technical enough, and they don't take time to copy-paste.

Do you want to work on it through a Pull Request?
I'm no developper, so i fear i'm not able to help.

I also tried another solution : copy content from Docs via Grist and tried to paste it in the Doc created, but it always end by CORS issue between gristgouv.github.io and Docs.
Could "Allow request between domains gristgouv.github.io and Doc" be a solution ?

I imagine your idea is to work with public templates right ?
FYI we now have a ressource server API you can call. I think there is an endpoint you can call for duplication there.

Hello @virgile-dev , yes that'it : provide a doc as a template for other users, who can retrieve and populate it each time needed. (in my case, it would be done automaticaly, and put the url of the doc in a Grist table)
i'll give it a try and make report here in the nexts days.

We are also very much looking forward to this new feature. Especially for these three use-cases:

#1 As we currently don't have granular access management for sub-docs, we have two different docs (one for management, one for employees). Some pages then need to be synced between the management doc and the employee doc.

#2 We also want to use the feature to connect LaSuite docs via an ingestion pipeline to an agent orchestrator coupled to OpenWebUI.

#3 AI Transcriptions from meetings shall be automatically stored in Docs. For example, for project reviews (we are an engineering firm, with offices all over Europe, but also in Paris, Nantes and Germany.
