Two finger scrolling stopped working

Two finger scrolling has suddenly stopped working for me. I'm using Win11 and Sumatra 3.5.2. Now two finger touchpad drag moves by the whole page in Sumatra. It works fine in other programs, though.

I deleted my old settings and now it's fine. I still don't know what caused the problem.

hmm sounds like either some "setting" is reassigning the keys that are used by scrolling or the file has perhaps a "glitch" but either way since it is resolved by deletion nobody could tell. perhaps if it happens again (next time) review the file in MS notepad where it should show. When status bar is active the file has these characteristics such as CRLF and UTF-8 with BOM. Other editors may not use the same format. (Ignore the fact mine is pre-rel 3-6 yours will be 3-5)

Do you know what setting in the settings file controls the two-finger scrolling?

none specifically so do you reassign keys by editing say shortcuts or other custom entries?

scrolling can be changed if say shift keys is active

k, j, h, l : scroll up / down / left / right
Up, Down : scroll up / down
n, Left : go to next page (aligns top of page with top of window)
p, Right : go to previous page (aligns top of page with top of window)
Shift + Down, Shift + Up : scroll forward / backward by a page

well its still a mystery until it happens again
6 weeks without the problem is challenging to guess as to why.
