I have faced this weird issue recently. I opened a file from a shared drive, say z drive. If I close the window, and open it later, it's going to try to open all the files that were open earlier. The issue happens when the file on the shared drive is deleted. During the startup, the UI hangs completely and I have to force close the UI.
To fix this, I had to find the SumatraPDF-settings.txt file, remove the file from FileStates. Then SumatraPDF started fine. It would be nice if it could ignore opening the file because it doesn't exist anymore.
