How to automate adding tasks?

What is the best way to automatically add tasks?
I'm using n8n automations (on my server) which generate tasks.
What is the best (aka most simple) way to let these workflows creat tasks?
I could create some text files omn the server and have a script running which uses scp to copy them and then do what?
Or I could create a special mailbox and import each mail as a task.
But I don't know what super productivita provides as opttions and find harly any documentation about it

You likely should be able to use the url protocol e.g. superproductivity://create-task/TASK_NAME_URL_ENCODED. Please let me know, if it works for you!

Do you need to activate some plugin for this? Can you please provide/point to some manual/write-up how to execute such requests?

I mean, something like this:

1. do x
2. activate Y
3. restart the app
4. curl superproductivity://create-task/TASK_NAME_URL_ENCODED - or something
5. ...
6. profit

Curl won't work since this is a local application link. Rather something like xdg-open superproductivity://create-task/Simple%20Task (on ubuntu). There is no web access to super productivity.

Thanks. On my Mint, out of the box, xdg-open does not have a registered handler for superproductivity. Do I need to install some plugin or something?

Same issue here:
xdg-open does not support this. Teh same is true for calling this in my local web browser.
Is there anything we have to do (Ubuntu here) to make xdg-open / webbrowser work with that application link?

One idea is this:

1. create a separate CalDAV or Google calendar for this
2. make your workflows to push/create events and tasks in those calendars (as far as they support it) via usual integrations, there are plenty for both Google Cal and CalDAV
3. make your Super Productivity app to regularly pull those events and tasks via a connected calendar

Alternatively, you can make your workflows generate ICS files and publish them so that you can pull those into the app.

That seems to be a nice way because it supports external tools to directly create these entries. I thought the ceonnection ist just for calender entries. But if I understand you correct I could use Nextclouds tasks and sync those with CalDAV. I'll give it a try.
