Can't set writeMode of FileRotationLogger

FileRotationLogger's log method calls append with the default writeMode of force.
Seeing some crashes at that point and don't see a way to adjust the writeMode.

I just added these options in my PR, but I wonder why the file handle isn't writeable for you... 😵‍💫
