+The UTSA OSPO will explore how to leverage best practices for open-source software to simplify reproducible research; contribute in areas of teaching and learning; and to prepare students to navigate open-source culture and community resources.

+Current priorities include creating a user advisory group to meet quarterly, and creating and maintaining an active software projects catalog.

+The UTEP OSPO is part of the [Texas-OSPO](https://texas-opensource.org/) network of Open Source Program Offices across the University of Texas system.
