Puzzle does not appear

Describe the bug
In the last month or two Penpa has stopped working on one of my computers. (It works on other computers/phones.) The interface appears but the puzzle grid has no height. It appears this way for all puzzles.

@chillywillysoft If it is working for other computers/phones, it could be a local cache issue.

Try clearing all the cache from the browser for this website. You can also use in-built Penpa Feature. Click on Settings -> Local Storage: Clear All and then Try reloading.

Clicking any of the buttons along the top does not do anything or bring up any other dialog windows. However, clicking "Multicolor", "Line", "Edge", etc does cause that button to be highlighted.

For anybody else experiencing this issue, a current workaround is to use the old version of penpa hosted at gmpuzzles.com. For a link such as

change the beginning so it reads

@chillywillysoft can u share one such puzzle link where this is happening? it could be Firefox specific issue since it seems to be working at other places (probably chrome)

Have u tried chrome browser and u see same behavior?

@swaroopg92 No puzzles work. The editor with a clean slate is not even functional and appears as in the screenshot with no buttons working.

Firefox is the only browser on the device in question. Firefox on my Mac runs the latest penpa just fine so the problem is likely the combination of Firefox with Windows 7. I know Windows 7 is end of life but Firefox continues to support it. I hope its ancient technology is still enough for grid puzzles...

I don't know much about web apps. Can I run penpa locally without running a server? If so I can download the repo and try to find which commit last worked for my setup.

It's possible sometimes some Javascript related stuff changes and we upgraded penpa dependencies to latest o avoid security vulnerability which are not supported in old version of browser or windows combo.

Yes u can run penpa locally on browser and identify which commit caused the issue.
