swaybar workspace name escaping issue

Please fill out the following:

• Sway Version:

  • sway version 1.10-dev-7cb5420d (Mar 23 2025, branch 'tabbed-stacked-layout-gaps')

• Configuration File:

bar {
    output $main_display
}

• Description:
  • Run sway with a swaybar.
  • Run swaymsg workspace \\
  • On the bar, click on the \ workspace and notice that a new \\ workspace is created. Each time you click, the number of backslashes doubles.

swaybar escapes all \ and " characters when creating the IPC command to switch workspace but sway does not process the escapes added by swaybar and so the wrong workspace is switched to.
